2. Present a data-driven case for the vital role chemical science industries play in the economy now, and for the future

3. Lead and coordinate a schools/universities/government/employers initiative to communicate the excitement, value and relevance of chemical sciences and the potential for attractive careers

4. Support strategic investment in science education and training to provide an appropriate skills base for further economic development

5. Influence UK Spending Review and EU programmes to maintain real funding increases for science that fully cover costs and that support long term, creative research programs and innovation

6. Seek interim funding to guarantee broad presence of chemical science departments across the UK

7. Support regional strategies that match academic education, training and skills output to local needs 

8. Support enhanced teaching facilities and career advice in schools 

9. Influence EU legislation that has impact on the chemical, pharmaceutical and biotech sectors and academic research

10. Work with the wider science community
