The Chemistry Centre, Burlington House

Ever thought about the physical and chemical reactions that occur while you are cooking?

Ever wondered what is really going on in the kitchen?

What affects your experiences of eating and the psychology of taste?

Come and find out the answers to these questions and more in Chemistry Week as a chef and our nutritionists create a 3-course meal that is healthy, affordable & easy to make. Hear the science behind the food that we eat and find out how family meal times can be fun and stress-free!

Grant Hawthorne from The Craft Guild of Chefs will be creating a 3-course meal that is healthy, affordable and easy to make, whilst our nutrition scientists describe the science that is going on during the cooking. We will highlight the collision between science and food in the kitchen, whilst promoting recipes that the whole family can prepare in the kitchen on any budget.

Aimed at Key Stages 2, 3 and 4. For ticket enquiries, please see "Contact and Further Information".
