The Council Room
The Council Room holds many of the RSC's collection of paintings. Of particular interest is the historical painting by Alexander Blaikley, showing Michael Faraday delivering a Christmas lecture at the Royal Institution on 27 December 1855.
With wonderful views over the courtyard and the facade of the rest of Burlington House, this room is a beautiful setting for large committee meetings, exhibitions and corporate workshops.
Its central location on the first floor means that the Council Room forms a natural part of a suite that follows the frontage of The Chemistry Centre. These interlinked rooms form a beautiful space that looks down upon the ofuntains and sculptures of the courtyard.
