RSC - Advancing the Chemical Sciences

Parliamentary Affairs Committee

The Committee meets three times a year and reports to the External Relations Board. Its membership comprises members of the RSC, members from both Houses of Parliament and representatives from other scientific bodies, and its role is to discuss broad issues including the development of the RSC's role and activities.

The Agenda for the meeting contains outline reports of issues currently under consideration by the Committee.

If you would like to receive a copy of any of the reports shown on the Agenda, please contact Dr Stephen Benn quoting the reference number shown on the Agenda. Please use the header PAC Agenda Request.

Local Sections of the RSC and individual RSC members are regularly invited to receive copies of any of these reports - as are all those RSC members who serve as 'RSC Links' with Members of Parliament. The Parliamentary Affairs Officer also visits Local Sections around the country to talk about the work which the RSC is trying to do to encourage a wider awareness of this activity and a willingness to help in this process.
