RSC - Advancing the Chemical Sciences

Other RSC Trust Deeds

The RSC has 27 other subsidiary charities covered by its Charity Commission registration. The largest of these is the RSC Benevolent Fund which is able to give direct financial support to members, something which the RSC itself cannot do. The others derive from historical legacies associated mostly with Awards and Lectureships.

Most of the RSC's Local Sections and Subject Groups are also governed by Trust Deeds, the legal documents that set out the rules. The Trustees are normally the Chairman of the Local Section or Subject Group and the RSC. These groupings are covered by the RSC's main charity registration and are not separate charities in their own right.
