The third in the series of joint RSC/Chinese Chemical Society (CCS) symposia was held in Nottingham in April.
The meetings celebrate the successful partnership agreement and collaboration between the two societies. This was the first of the meetings held in the UK and was on the subject of nanotechnology.
Bai Chunli, Executive Vice-president of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, was awarded the University of Nottingham's Kipping Visiting Fellowship and spoke on Recent Progress on Nanoscience and Technology in China.
The CCS delegation had time to meet Chinese students studying at Nottingham and visited the RSC's offices in Cambridge.
