Members receive access to Elsevier journals
01 March 2008
The RSC has negotiated remote access to Elsevier journals and e-books for all members. This follows the excellent deal with Springer last year.
With the addition of Elsevier, the world's largest science and technology publisher, the RSC Virtual Library now has a very substantial collection.
The Elsevier deal gives members access to:
15 top e-journals
- 108 chemistry journals in the Elsevier archive
- 304 chemistry e-books
Nigel Lees, Manager Library & Archival Services, is delighted with the arrangement: "The RSC is the first society in the UK, and possibly the world, to have struck such a ground-breaking deal with Elsevier. This will also give members extra resources during the library refurbishment."
Places are still available on the next Virtual Library workshop at Burlington House, London on 19 March 2008.
