The theme for Chemistry Week 2005
was 'Know Chemistry' and ran from Friday 4 November to Sunday 13 November 2005.
The general theme was chosen to help us know and show the contribution that chemistry and chemical science has brought to our lives today through a broad range of topics
Activities were organised throughout the UK and Ireland via the RSC Local Sections.
Parliamentary Launch
On the 1 November 2005 Chemistry Week was launched by Lord Sainsbury in the Houses of Parliament with Bill Bryson receiving a President's Award.
