3 - 11 November 2007

Chemistry Week 2007 was held between the 3 - 11 November and the theme for 2007 was Travel. This was chosen to support the RSC's energy and transport campaign of Fuelling the Future, with a particular emphasis on how chemistry offers positive solutions to the energy challenges that travel (and transport) are facing today.

  • A range of events took place all over the UK and Ireland organised by RSC Local Sections
  • There was the Fuelling the Future National Tour which visited 8 locations around the UK
  • The winners of the RSC Bill Bryson Prize were presented with their prizes at the House of Commons
  • The Science Museum held a series of free school's lectures
