Symposium Dinner

The Symposium Dinner will be held on Thursday 14th September in the magnificent surroundings of the sixteenth century Great Hall of  Christ Church College.  It has many famous connections – Charles Dodgson (Lewis Carroll) was a tutor at the College and  wrote ‘Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland’ and ‘Through the Looking Glass’ for Alice Liddell and her sisters who were the daughters of the Dean of Christ Church.

In more recent times the college has provided inspiration for the Harry Potter films. The Great Hall was reproduced in the film studios as Hogwart’s Hall, and the staircase and cloisters have also featured in the films.
