This was the sixth international meeting in a series organised in conjunction with the RSC Industry and Technology Forum's Applied Materials Chemistry Group.  

The meeting aimed to bring together the automotive, lubricant and chemical industries with academia and provide a multi-disciplinary forum for chemists, engineers and tribologists to share ideas for future developments in the science and technology of fuels and lubricants.
