Introduction

The Dalton Transactions Younger Researchers Symposium is primarily for early-stage inorganic and organometallic chemistry researchers (industrial scientists, PhD students and early-career postdoctoral fellows) to present their latest results in the context of the wider UK inorganic community. 

The programme will feature both poster sessions and oral presentations, predominantly from students but will also include short talks from leaders in the field. The meeting will also provide an opportunity for learning about future career paths and networking with fellow researchers. Attendance at the symposium is free of charge.         

One of the valuable benefits of attending the Dalton Transactions Younger Researchers Symposium is the opportunity to network with a wide range of researchers from the field of inorganic and organometallic chemistry. Networking will take place through the interactive poster session and a lively social programme. 

The symposium is organised by Dalton Transactions and the Royal Society of Chemistry, in association with Johnson Matthey, and in conjunction with Professor Peter Scott, University of Warwick.

Oral and Poster Contributions 

A major part of the meeting will be oral and poster contributions from students and researchers, and prizes will be awarded for the best contributions. We encourage all student delegates to apply to present both oral and poster contributions.

How to submit an abstract:

• Symposium delegates should register to attend the meeting by clicking on the 'Registration' link on this page (see the 'In this section' menu).
• Delegates should then submit an abstract to present an oral or poster presentation by clicking on the 'Call for Papers' link on this page (see the 'In this section' menu).        

From the abstract submissions, approximately 18 delegates will be chosen to present an oral contribution to the meeting and all other delegates will be offered a poster presentation.
