Registration now open. Register by 27 June to take advantage of the early booking fees.

Faraday Discussion 141 aims to move towards a better understanding of the microscopic structure and behaviour of the condensed phases of water at interfaces and progressing to the bulk.

The meeting will be opened with an introductory lecture by Professor Pavel Jungwirth (Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic). Dr Peter J Feibelman (Sandia National Laboratories, USA) will conduct the closing remarks.

Discussion sessions:

  • Surface Charge of the Liquid Water Surface
  • Biological Interfaces and Non-linear Optical Tools
  • Ice Interfaces
  • Nanoscale, Confined Interfaces and Electrochemical Systems

Proofs of the invited and contributed selected papers will be circulated well before the meeting. Since each paper has been read in advance, Faraday Discussion 141 will be able to concentrate on genuine fruitful debate. The whole of the proceedings will be subsequently published including submitted Discussion remarks which include those that 'the contributors said, or think they said or wished they had said'. This means that any delegate at the conference has the opportunity to make a major contribution.

For more information on the scientific aims, the programme, registration and how to submit an abstract for poster presentation see the 'In this section' links.
