Symposium Information
As new advances occur in nanotechnology, nanomedicine and the nanosciences, the analytical challenges of detecting and quantifying fewer and fewer molecules in minute volumes and often harsh environments, become more and more pronounced.
This symposium will highlight advances being made in surface analytical techniques which aim for single molecule detection, advances in nanomaterials which have novel physical and chemical properties which open up many possibilities for the miniaturisation of analytical and sensor technologies, and advances in microfluidic devices which have applications in so many diverse fields, including diagnostics and nanomedicine.
