Symposium Information
The provision of green and clean sources of energy is of paramount importance to society. In particular the need to decrease pollution in terms of sulphur content of liquid fuels, using bi-sustainable feedstocks for energy provision as well as ensuring that auto-exhaust emissions are minimised. These are all key areas in which catalysis plays a major role in providing new green sustainable technology.
This conference session will focus on key recent developments in the fields of:
- Designing catalysts for new gas to liquids technology to ensure low sulphur diesel and gasoline can be secured
- Designing effective catalysts for the use of renewable feedstocks for the provision of energy, for example the generation of bio-diesel
- The latest approaches to catalysis in terms of auto emission controls
