Enterprise Platform

UMIC, Manchester |
The Enterprise Platform is a new event the ITF has developed to help highlight issues faced by the fast growing chemical science small business in the UK today.
The first in this new series was held in Manchester on Thursday 22 February 2007 at the newly opened University of Manchester Incubator Centre (UMIC), the event was supported by the Organic Materials Innovation Network (OMIC), Chemicals Northwest and Chemistry Innovation and attracted over 70 people from the region.

The event aims to help small businesses get off the ground |
The open forum at the end of the session led to some interesting discussions around support available for the chemical science small business sector and ideas on how the RSC and others can help. With continued interest and support from the small business community the RSC will extend its events portfolio in 2007 and continue to bring together this important community to help spur innovation and enterprise.
