Delegate Information

This page provides more information for participants of the Transatlantic Frontiers of Chemistry 2008 meeting. Attendance at the meeting is by invite only, and delegates who have accepted the invitation to attend will be sent joining instructions in due course which will provide more detailed information.

Delegates

All participants at TFOC will present their work either as an oral presentation or a poster. There will be two extended poster sessions incorporated into the programme to allow an opportunity for delegates to discuss their work. 

Venue Information

The Transatlantic Frontiers of Chemistry meeting in 2008 will be held at Cranage Hall in Cheshire, UK. Cranage Hall is a hotel and conference centre that stands within 20 acres of idyllic landscaped grounds and is surrounded by beautiful Cheshire countryside. It is within easy reach of vibrant Manchester, situated just 30 minutes from Manchester International Airport.

Travel Information

Cranage Hall is easily reached by air, rail and road. 

Air and Rail: The nearest mainline railway station is Crewe, which is just 20 minutes drive and for international delegates, Manchester International Airport is 30 minutes drive away. There will be transfers arranged for delegates from Manchester International Airport and from Crewe railway station. Please ensure you register for a transfer and submit your travel details in advance of the meeting.

Road: Cranage Hall is also situated just two miles from the M6 motorway on the A50 between Holmes Chapel and Knutsford; there is ample car parking on site.
From M6 Motorway: Leave the M6 at junction 18 and take the A54 towards Holmes Chapel. Follow the road for just over a mile until you reach a roundabout in Holmes Chapel Village. Turn left onto the A50 towards Knutsford and follow this road until you enter Cranage and see the signs for Cranage Hall. These direct you to turn left into Byley Lane. Cranage Hall is on your left-hand side. 

There will be transfers arranged for delegates from Manchester International Airport and Crewe Railway Station. Please ensure you send your details to RSC in advance of the meeting to ensure your transfer to Cranage Hall.
