Voice of the Future 2012

Wednesday 14 March 2012
Boothroyd Room, Portcullis House, House of Commons

As a prominent member of the UK's Science and Engineering community, the Royal Society of Chemistry is participating in Voice of the Future 2012.  [This year, the event is being led by the Society of Biology.]

This event represents a unique opportunity for young scientists and engineers to participate in a Science Question Time with Members of the House of Commons Select Committee on Science and Technology.

The event will feature:

  • the Minister for Universities and Science, Rt. Hon. David Willetts, MP
  • the Shadow Minister for Innovation and Science, Chi Onwurah, MP
  • the Chair of the House of Commons Science and Technology Select Committee, Andrew Miller, MP

The MPs will appear before the 'Committee' as 'witnesses' to answer Questions from the scientists.

You may tweet your question live to the event by using the hashtag #VOF2012.

In the surroundings of the Boothroyd Room, a Parliamentary Committee Room, young scientists and engineers will sit in the seats normally reserved for MPs.

Please note attendance is by invitation only.  Thank you.
