About the Award

The winner of the RSC Joseph Chatt Lectureship, Professor John Hartwig from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, U.S.A will be delivering a lecture at Imperial College London at 16:15.

He won the award for his highly original research in organometallic catalysis that has changed organic synthesis, has provided effective catalysts for functionalisation of alkanes and arenes, and has offered a mechanistic understanding of these reactions.
