The first meeting on 'Challenges in Catalysis for Pharmaceuticals and Fine Chemicals' in 2007 was a great success, attended by over 80 delegates, and the feedback was very much in favour of a repeat event. The RSC Applied Catalysis Group and the SCI Fine Chemicals Group are pleased to announce 'Challenges in Catalysis II'. Topics to be covered will include the latest developments in coupling redox processes with C-C bond formation, cross coupling reactions, nitrile hydrogenation, organocatalysis, amide bond formation by catalysis and novel techniques for development of catalysed reactions
