Recent Appointees in Materials Science (RAMS) 2011
RAMS is an organisation which exists to support all researchers in the field of materials in the early stages of their career. The conference is open to anyone who is within 5 years of starting an academic career – lecturers, research fellows and post-docs who want to make the transition into academia or industry. There will be a selection of established academics as plenary speakers, including Professor Dame Athene Donald, Professor Richard Winpenny and Professor Andrew de Mello. There will also be a session designed to help early career researchers with adding impact to their grant applications. Early career researchers are encouraged to submit abstracts for posters or oral presentations. Bursaries to cover the cost of registration and accommodation will be offered to those giving oral presentations on a first-come, first-served basis.
