RSC ChemNet - The Ironbridge Medicine Mystery (Analysis Day)
Potions and remedies from the Victorian Pharmacy at the Ironbridge gorge have been changed by different curators over time. No-one knows whether what's in the bottles and jars is what it says on the label! Keele university are running an ongoing project to identify the contents and you are invited to help us out. Using spectroscopy and other analytical methods examined at A-Level you are challenged to find out ""what's that substance?" This is a unique opportunity to run your own spectroscopic analysis and apply A-Level knowledge to a real-life challenge. No prior knowledge of spectroscopy is required.
