1st Agriscience Chemical Biology Postgraduate Symposium
Synopsis The Biological and Medicinal Chemistry Sector (BMCS) of the RSC is hosting a postgraduate symposium for PhD and postdoctoral students undertaking chemical biology research in areas related to agriculture and the agrisciences. Chemical Biology in this context is referring to physical sciences tools and technologies (in Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, engineering) which are being applied to tackle biological problems on a molecular level. The symposium will be held in the Department of Chemistry at Imperial College, London on Thursday 1st and Friday 2nd November 2012. All students and researchers utilising a combination of physical sciences with fungal, insect or plant biology in their research projects, from any UK university are invited to attend.

The symposium will be held in the Department of Chemistry at Imperial College, London on Thursday 1st and Friday 2nd November 2012. All students and researchers utilising a combination of physical sciences with fungal, insect or plant biology in their research projects, from any UK university are invited to attend.
Outline Programme
The symposium will consist of nine oral student presentations, plus student flash presentations and talks from academic and industrial keynote speakers. Registration will open at 12.30 pm on Thursday, 1st November, and the first talk will be at 1.00 pm. A free conference dinner will be provided on the evening of 1st November.
Call for Abstracts
If you are interested in presenting your relevant PhD or post-doctoral work, please submit a half-page abstract by 15th September 2012 with your registration form. Those selected by the organising committee to give oral presentations will be notified by 1st October. Please download your registration form and abstract template from the event website.
