RSC Bill Bryson Prize 2007 winners

The RSC Bill Bryson Prize for science communication continued to prove popular in its second year. The RSC received hundreds of entries, in a wide variety of formats, from both primary and secondary school students.

The winning entries were divided into two main categories:

  • Secondary schools winner - Rachel Farnsworth of Dayncourt Specialist Science College, Nottinghamshire.
  • Primary Schools winner - Nadia Moores of Liverpool College, Liverpool.

The winners each received prizes of £500 for their schools plus £100 for themselves.

Bill Bryson and RSC President Jim Feast are due to present the winners with their prizes and certificates at an awards ceremony at the House of Commons during RSC Chemistry Week 2007 (which runs from 3-11 November).
