Terms of reference - Steering Group


Responsibilities

  • To guide the project in its aim of enhancing the sustainability of the chemical sciences in HE. 
  • To ensure the project takes account of changes in the external operating environment in meeting the needs of the chemical sciences community and other key employers. 
  • To oversee the project in relation to the contractual requirements of HEFCE and the lead HEI and to advise on corrective action as and when required. 
  • To review, develop and approve the submission of the bid to HEFCE for the one year extension phase and subsequent collaborative STEM programme.
  • To receive regular financial reports and to approve programme expenditure. 
  • To review and approve the six monthly project reports submitted to HEFCE. 
  • To receive reports from the Project Advisory Group and to ensure progress against objectives. 
  • To encourage the involvement of other constituent parts of the UK in the project.
