Terms of reference - Steering Group
Responsibilities
- To guide the project in its aim of enhancing the sustainability of the chemical sciences in HE.
- To ensure the project takes account of changes in the external operating environment in meeting the needs of the chemical sciences community and other key employers.
- To oversee the project in relation to the contractual requirements of HEFCE and the lead HEI and to advise on corrective action as and when required.
- To review, develop and approve the submission of the bid to HEFCE for the one year extension phase and subsequent collaborative STEM programme.
- To receive regular financial reports and to approve programme expenditure.
- To review and approve the six monthly project reports submitted to HEFCE.
- To receive reports from the Project Advisory Group and to ensure progress against objectives.
- To encourage the involvement of other constituent parts of the UK in the project.
