From test tubes to YouTube

Martyn Poliakoff will give a lecture at the University of Nottingham on 8 February, when he accepts the 2011 Nyholm Prize for Education from the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC).

Famous for his series of videos featuring all 118 elements of the periodic table, the RSC is recognising Martyn for his enthusiastic leadership in taking chemistry to the widest possible audience, using not only traditional channels but also the power of YouTube. 

The symposium will also include lectures from John Oversby and David McGarvey, winners of the 2011 Education Award and Higher Education Teaching Award respectively.
