O₂ Learn is inviting teachers to upload videos of their best revision lessons for a chance to win a prize of up to £45,000.

Teachers upload their videos to a dedicated website. Students are asked to rate the lessons, to help identify which are the best.   Each week, until 26 November, O₂ Learn will award the most popular lesson a prize of £2000, to be split between the teacher and the school. At the end of the year, winners of the weekly awards will be entered for the O₂ Annual Teaching Excellence Awards, where the first prize is £45,000.

At the end of 2011 the overall 1^st prize was awarded to Sharmila Hanson from The Bishop Wand Church of England School in Sunbury-on-Thames. Her video lesson on rocket science teaches GCSE students about Newton's laws of motion. 

O_­2 Learn is 'building Britain's biggest classroom', allowing students from all over the world to connect to teaching from across the country. Gav Thompson, creator of O₂ Learn, said, 'Through O₂ Learn students will have free access at the click of a mouse to variety of lessons to help them learn in new and exciting ways that are most relevant to them.'
