ITU4 Green Chemistry - The Atom Economy

In this unit, students are introduced to the concepts of sustainable development and atom economy.  

There are three exercises examining how atom economy relates to different classes of reaction, drug synthesis and alternative synthetic approaches. Students are also given the opportunity to review the Principles of Green Chemistry and to give an oral presentation.
