Postgraduate Skills Record

The Postgraduate Skills Record (PSR) is for chemistry postgraduates to record, assess and identify skills which need developing during their PhD programme.

It contains a number of sections including a progress plan, skills audit, a skills profile and continuing professional development information.

A permanent record of the skills developed will serve as evidence to future employers of your competence in these particular areas and it will help when writing a CV and completing application forms. The PSR is currently available in two formats:

  1. Booklet - available from your university department or contact the Education Department
  2. Downloadable PDF file - for printing out and completing by hand. If you have the full Adobe Acrobat you will be able to enter and save your information electronically.
