MChemA Examination
The examination is in three parts.
- Part A is a three-hour examination paper on the theory of general analytical chemistry.
- Part B covers the applications of analytical chemistry and comprises two three-hour papers.
- Part C provides the opportunity for you to demonstrate specific abilities that you possess in the application of the core knowledge and an opportunity to demonstrate your career experience.
For Part C, you submit a Portfolio of Evidence to the RSC for formal assessment by the Examiners. If the Portfolio is deemed satisfactory, you may proceed to the one-day practical examination.
Please complete the appropriate forms for each part of the Examination. For Part B, your Counsellors also need to submit a supporting form. Please return your forms and fees to the Registration Officer.
You can now register for the MChemA as an Associate Member of the RSC (AMRSC). You must be a Member (MRSC) or Fellow (FRSC) by the time of application for the Part C examination.
