This distance learning programme in Chemical Technology and Management is organised in partnership between the University of Strathclyde, Department of Chemical and Process Engineering and the Royal Society of Chemistry.

The programme provides an alternative approach to conventional MBA programmes in meeting management development needs for those people working as chemists in R&D, to those in manufacturing and business management roles in the chemical, pharmaceutical and process industries.

An appropriate selection of core and elective modules is available to allow delegates from a wide range of backgrounds and industries to complete the course.

Key features

A recent independent review completed by EPSRC thought that this course was a good mix with an innovative and broad sweep of subjects and gave it an Overall Assessment of 'Tending to Outstanding'

This review is mirrored in comments from some of its recent graduates:

'I have a degree in Chemistry and my job involves Chemical Engineering so I am trying to bridge the gap between the two subjects to improve my career prospects'

'I want to do this course because I want to get into management of chemical technology. I want to meet new people and further my education, and I didn't want to do an MBA.'

'I chose this course because I wanted an additional academic qualification. I am already a Chartered Chemist but I decided I wanted something extra to take me out from the crowd.'

University of Strathclyde through its Department of Chemical Engineering are leaders in the development of programmes for technical graduates in the chemical, pharmaceutical and allied industries.
