Student Finance
The main expenses of being a student are:
- tuition fees
- accommodation costs, and
- general living expenses.
The amount you will have to pay depends on where you live and which university you choose to go to. However, there is a wide range of financial help available including:
- grants
- scholarships
- bursaries
- maintenance loans, and
- various student support systems.
Remember that changes to the fee and bursary system have been made to ensure that no student with the right qualifications will be denied the chance to get a degree.
Chemistry degree courses are not more expensive to study than any other subject. Although they cost more to run, this is not passed on to the students.
