Chemistry Camps

chemistry camp
The Chemistry Camps are run by the Salters' Institute for students at secondary schools in the UK and Eire. They aim to encourage young people (14-15 year olds) to capture the fun  of chemistry and motivate them to develop awareness of and a long-term interest in chemistry.

The Camps take place over five days, are residential and based at universities  in the UK.

The programme of activities includes:

  • experimental work using techniques and equipment not normally available in schools
  • Salters' camp
    industrial site visits
  • exciting chemistry demonstrations.

Social activities have included ten-pin bowling, indoor rock-climbing, sports evenings and ghost walks.
