Online Chemistry Olympiad - UK Lower Sixth Students

The 2011 competition is now closed.

We have designed an online test for students at the end of their first year of sixth form studies. It consists of multiple choice questions presented in random order.

At the end of the test, students receive individual feedback on their performance - broken down into the main areas of chemistry. This is intended to help improve understanding and learning. Please note this competition is only open to students educated in the UK.

Results are automatically recorded and prizes are awarded to the best performing students each year. 

The RSC also organises the selection and training of the UK team for the International Chemistry Olympiad competition. 

The Online Chemistry Olympiad is supported by an unrestricted educational grant from INEOS, the world's third largest producer of chemicals.
