Can I get money from the RSC to buy school equipment?

No, the RSC does not provide money for school equipment, as this should be funded through other sources. We do, however, provide financial support for novel educational activities for school and college aged students, through our Education Initiatives Fund (more information below).

Can I get funds from the RSC for Educational purposes?

Yes, through the Education Initiatives Fund. This is a source of small amounts of financial support available for novel educational activities (i.e. those that are new to the region in which they're planned) aimed at schools and college aged students. The chemical science content should be appropriate to the target age group. 

Please note: The fund cannot be used to support existing activities or for the purchase of equipment for institutions which should properly be funded from other sources, room hire or catering.
