Costs

The funding has allowed the RSC to keep costs to teachers to a minimum.

The total charge for a four-day course is £200.

The fee includes:

• Attendance
• Accommodation (for the two-day residential component)
• All meals
• Course materials
• Access to the support facilities       

Schools are expected to cover the teachers' absence as they see fit and pay travelling expenses. 

Bursaries available: Funding is available to state maintained schools in England through the Science Learning Centres. Teachers attending courses in England are eligible to apply for Impact Award bursaries to cover course costs and expenses (up to £800). Contact the Science Learning Centre in your region for more information.

N.B. Participants who are not RSC members will be offered the opportunity to become members at the appropriate level free of charge for one year.
