Legoland

Chemistry at Work returned to Legoland, near Windsor, after a break of a year when it was held in Bracknell. To welcome it back the sun shone in a cloudless sky as over 550 primary school pupils from the local area visited the event which was organised by South East Berkshire EBP.
Presentations and hands-on activities included:
- Fingerprinting by the Thames Valley Police
- The chemistry of microwave cooking by Panasonic
- Procter and Gamble explaining how to make hair gel
- How Thames Water supply clean water
- Catching criminals using DNA by Reading University
- Making polymers to make money and have fun, also by Reading university
- and many more.
There was also a demonstration with flashes, bangs and frozen flowers.
Finally students watched the Legoland 'Harbourside show' and then those schools that could stay were free to enjoy the Legoland activities.
