Top of the Bench 2012 Winners

The RSC Top of the Bench 2012 final took place at Imperial College London on Saturday 31 March 2012. It was a great event with 30 teams from across the UK and Belgium taking part.

The competition was jointly organised by the Royal Society of Chemistry and Imperial College London and tested students' knowledge of chemistry through written and practical exercises.

The Winners

The Grammar School at Leeds, from the Central Yorkshire local section, won this year's competition.

were presented a trophy by Dr Jason Riley from Imperial College.  

The winning team members each received gift vouchers and £500 for their school to spend on equipment for the Chemistry department.

Jacqui Clee Award

This year's award for the most outstanding individual contribution to the competition was awarded to:
