RSC Teacher Training Scholarships

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about chemistry and have the potential to be exceptional chemistry teachers to become RSC Scholars.

Each scholar will receive a £20,000 (tax free) bursary to train as a teacher in England in 2013/2014 academic year. In addition, RSC Scholars will receive support during their training year and beyond from the RSC which includes:

  • Membership package for 2 years, and discounted for further 2 years
  • Selection of RSC materials including resources, lab coat and other consumables
  • National and regional support networks including:
    • Local meetings
    • Online communities 
    • Annual conference/events
    • Mentoring 

The RSC Teacher Training Scholarship scheme is run in partnership with the Department for Education

How to Apply

Application deadline: 16 July 2013. We have a series of application deadlines between January and July 2013. This webpage will be updated periodically.
