Chemist Research

Joseph Priestley
Joseph Priestley (1733-1804)

The LIC has many resources at its disposal to aid in the research of famous chemists and past members of the society.

We often conduct searches for information from RSC members and the general public wishing to know more about a relative who may have been a previous member of the society.  We have also done research for the media and authors wishing to find information about notable chemists.

If you have an enquiry, it may be useful to first conduct your search following the links below, the LIC can then continue your search using it's resources.  The third link will take you to our catalogue where you can search our general, historical and image collections.

Please inform us if you have referred to these links (and what information you have found) so we don't duplicate the research you have already undertaken.
