Case study 1

Mr and Mrs X

Guardians of member's children who are now orphans.

• Fund office provide information and support on a wide range of social welfare and other matters
• Regular allowances are provided for children until they are 18
• Volunteer Visitor and partner visit and offer support  

Case study 2

Mr Y

Member in his late 20's who had made redundant and was on Job Seeker's allowance.

He requested financial assistance to help with the transition to work.

• The Benevolent Fund Committee awarded regular allowance for 1 year
• Careers Service assisted with CV and job searching
• Volunteer Visitor offered encouragement and support for interviews  

Update: Member now has full time job teaching chemistry in China.
