Analytical Division Western Region

The Western Region covers the Southwest and Southern England (through to East of Portsmouth). Activities are focused around the regional centres Cardiff, Swansea, Bristol, Plymouth, Exeter, Southampton and Portsmouth. These include evening lectures, meetings and networking events. 

The region promotes Analytical Science in schools by hosting two heats of the Schools Analyst competition annually, in Plymouth and Bristol. In 2009 the National Final will also be hosted by the Region with Plymouth as the venue.

Joint activities with Subject Groups are particularly encouraged. WRAD also has strong links with RSC local sections such as the Peninsula section. Ideas for events in your area are welcomed and should be submitted to the WRAD Secretary.
