L S Theobald Lectureship
The "L.S. Theobald Lecture" is in memory of Leslie Stuart Theobald (1898-1979). He was on the staff of Imperial College, London from 1925 until retirement in 1963 - having been Reader in Analytical Chemistry from 1945.
The L.S. Theobald Lecture is funded through an anonymous 'capital' donation, by an admirer of Theobald, to the Analytical Methods Trust. The Lectureship will be awarded to someone who has made a significant contribution to the type of work relevant the Analytical Methods Committee (a sub-committee of AD Council) and its sub-committees.
A suitable meeting is arranged for the lecture to be given normally with the AMC and the AD Groups and Regions. The Analytical Methods Trust covers the Lecturer’s expenses and provides the honorarium.
