Chemistry Clubs

The Biological and Medicinal Chemistry Sector (BMCS) of the Royal Society of Chemistry-Industrial Technology Forum is keen to increase its current support for chemistry outreach activities in schools. In 2007 we started a programme to fund ‘out of school chemistry clubs’. We will consider requests to fund clubs for all age groups (e.g. KS2, KS3 etc) with the aim of promoting chemistry and science to school children.

We are seeking bids for money now (typically up to £1000) to either start these activities, or provide funding towards existing clubs in need of financial support. 

Please apply by outlining the materials required (e.g. chemicals, books, equipment, software), associated costs, target age group and a sense of the objectives of your particular club initiative.   The application, which must include your full contact details should not be longer than one side of A4.
