Awards and Grants


The BMCS is particularly active in the organisation of scientific meetings and does so in collaboration with a wide variety of other groups both within and external to the RSC.  

Over the past few years the BMCS has been especially active in promoting some of the important interfacial areas in which chemists are intimately involved.  

BMCS Student Bursaries - Applications are welcomed from any PhD or post-doctoral student studying at a European academc institution irrespective of their nationality for BMCS organised meetings. See applicable meeting for closing dates for applications.

BMCS International Travel Award - The purpose of these awards is to support the attendance of the UK based student at an international scientific meeting of their choice. Closing date for 2014 Awards is 31st December 2013.

BMCS Lectureship

Launched in 2014 the BMCS Lectureship recognizes those who have made a significant advance in the subject through developing new products or methods.
