Innovation
One of the three main priority areas for the ITF in 2006 is the supporting the exploitation of new ideas in the chemical sciences.
Over the past three years the ITF has rewarded and promoted innovation in the chemical sciences through its Innovation Awards. These awards are focused towards rewarding outstanding examples of entrepreneurship and teamwork in the UK chemical sciences. They are given annually with a prize of £4000 each.
The RSC is also closely involved with the newly formed Chemistry Innovation Knowledge Transfer Network or CIKTN for short. More details on this will follow shortly.
