J-NOST 3rd National Organic Symposium for Research Scholars

In November 2007, as a second phase of the collaboration between the RSC Organic Division and colleagues in the Indian organic chemistry community, the NOST (National Organic Symposium Trust) welcomed a party of seven UK-based postgraduate students to the 3rd J-NOST meeting, held at Guru Nanak Dev University in Amritsar, where younger researchers present their work. 

The RSC party, all PhD students and RSC members, and drawn from a range of English and Scottish universities, were overwhelmed by the welcome and hospitality they received and very impressed by the standard of the science reported; there were around 70 delegates and over 50 talks, including the 7 from the UK. The students were unanimous in their enthusiasm for the collaboration and recommend its continuation!
