Applied Catalysis Group


The Applied Catalysis Group is a part of the RSC Industry and Technology Forum and exists to bring together and cover the interests of all members who have a professional interest in applied catalysis.

The Applied Catalysis Group promotes the application of established and novel catalytic science for the commercial and sustainable production of all types of chemical product including industrial intermediates, pharmaceuticals and consumer products, for the protection of the environment and for any other purpose that is of benefit to society.

Responsibilities and Activities

The Applied Catalysis Group has responsibility for the development and sharing of "best practice" among people and organisations working in the field of applied catalysis. 

The group:

  • recognises the importance of a multi-disciplinary approach in this highly diverse technological field 
  • works to create and support links between interested parties working within industrial and academic institutions 
  • organises specialist conferences and workshops which examine important aspects of applied catalysis
