Inspirational Member and Committee Awards
The Inspirational Member Award and Inspirational Committee Award recognise the efforts of members and committees supporting our community through member-led activities.
Any member of the Royal Society of Chemistry may also make a nomination to be considered by an Award Panel, convened by the Member Networks Committee.

This award recognises the work of our member-led committees.
We appreciate the work of all of our volunteers and hope to recognise their hard work and dedication in a number of ways.
Recognises outstanding non-academic service to the work of the Royal Society of Chemistry
10 Years of Service
The RSC honours members who have completed 10 years of service on their group committee with a Long Service Award certificate and a commemorative plate if required.
To qualify for this award the committee member must satisfy the following criteria
- Minimum of 10 years of service on the committee
- Must have held one of the ‘officer’ positions i.e. Chair, Secretary or Treasurer during the 10 years of service
- Must be currently serving on the committee
Presentation of the award is the responsibility of the committee who may wish to choose a suitable occasion, for example AGM, Regional Meeting, annual dinner, etc.

Please remember to arrange for a photograph and an article on the presentation to be sent to RSC News.
Over 10 years of serviceIf a committee wishes the RSC to acknowledge exceptional long service of a committee member they should notify the Networks Team, who will arrange for a letter from the Chief Executive or President.
RSC Prizes and Awards Events
The RSC Science Team is responsible for all proceedings relating to Prizes and Awards and their associated events. The portfolio includes awards covering all aspects of the chemical sciences.

The RSC acknowledges the contribution of some of our deceased members to the chemical sciences.
