Insurance Cover

The RSC carries Public Liability Insurance which covers legal liabilities in respect of injury and illness to third parties (who may be non-members) and/or damage to third parties’ property arising during the course of the business of the RSC. Business, in this context, refers to lectures, symposia, demonstrations, etc that are not likely to involve danger to the audience.

Where activities include an element of known danger, e.g. lecture demonstrations involving fireworks, explosives and/or hazardous chemicals, additional cover is easily affected, provided adequate notice is given.
